2.5Mil for Black Woman Murdered By White Police Officer. The story is the same. A Black person is killed. They are unarmed. And the killer is a white police officer. In Lima, OH, the famliy of Tarika Wilson will be awarded $2.5 million. The 26 year old woman was holding her baby,who was also shot and woud up losing a finger,during a drug raid in which even according to the prosecution the white police officer couldn't see who was in the room or whether they even had a weapon but nontheless fired randomly into the room. . Mitch Lantrieu, brother of US Senator Mary Landrieu, has run twice for mayor of New Orleans. The last time was in 2006 against embattled mayor Ray Nagin right after the Hurricane Katrina disaster. It seems that Kasim Reed has squeaked out a victory in Atlanta's mayoral race. But his challenger, Mary Norwood has promised to request a recount in hopes of overturning the vote. Even should Ms. Norwood prove unsuccessful at overturning the election results it is not a "victory". It is simply a stay of execution. Time is on the white power structure's side. Atlanta's white population is growing and they will certainly have enough of an increase in their numbers in four years to guarantee a white mayor in Atlanta come election time. Add to this the Black populace is shrinking and you have a practical surety that Atlanta has elected it's LAST Black mayor. All of these cities that we consider "Black" are in fact "white leased" and most have seen new crops of white challengers to elective office. In New Orleans, Ray Nagin was challeneged by Mitch Landrieu, brother of Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu. Nagin won the election but it was a clear shot across the bow that white society hasn't forgotten their place and mean to retake it in the immediate future. In Baltimore, Mayor Dixon has been convicted of embezzlement and will be removed from office once she is sentenced. With Black politicians like Dixon, Bill Jefferson of Louisiana, and Kwame Kilpatrick in Detroit leaving such a bad taste in the mouth of the electorate it will be difficult to make the case for another Black politician to take the reins of power. People already have expectations of a Black person and these miscreants have confirmed a lot of people's worst fears. We elected politicans when we should have been electing leaders. And the electorate is jsut as to blame. They would rather march for gay rights than Black empowerment. They will fight for a disco, but not for a job. And the end result is we will lose many, if not all, of our current "Black" cities. The Real Story of Thanksgiving The real story of Thanksgiving is sad and atrocious. It is the story of the massacre of this land's native people and the "sanitizing" of the "history" that we were all given, replaced with a lie of "kind Pingrims" who just wanted a safe place to live.
